  • Wellness and Harmony Club

A Wellness and Harmony Club with an SDG focus operates on a profound principle: Sustainable development begins within. It recognizes that personal well-being, community harmony, and planetary health are deeply interconnected. This club creates a sanctuary for holistic growth while actively linking inner peace to outer action on global goals. "We cannot nurture a world in distress from a place of personal depletion." This club is founded on the understanding that burnout, anxiety, and disconnection are barriers to effective action. By fostering individual resilience, emotional intelligence, and compassionate community, we build the inner resources necessary to contribute meaningfully to a sustainable and just world.

Objectives

  • Holistic Personal Wellness - To promote integrated well-being across physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions, equip members with practical, evidence-based tools for stress management, mindfulness, and self-care to build resilience.
  • Cultivating Harmony & Connection - To foster authentic connection, empathy, and compassionate communication within the club and the wider community, create a supportive, non-judgmental space where members feel a sense of belonging and social harmony.
  • Linking Well-being to Global Goals - To explore the explicit connections between personal wellness (SDG 3) and all other SDGs (e.g., how climate anxiety relates to SDG 13, how inequality affects mental health - SDG 10), examine the concept of "Sustainable Living" as a practice that benefits both personal health and planetary health (e.g., plant-based diets for SDG 12 & 13, active transport for SDG 3 & 11).
  • Embodied Activism & Compassionate Action - To explore the model of "Sustainable Activism" -  how to engage in advocacy and service from a grounded, centered, and resilient place, avoiding burnout, channel the energy cultivated through wellness practices into focused, compassionate action for community and global good.
