Course Overview

This UG course enables the students to take up advanced studies with Biotechnology (as one subject), Chemistry, Botany/or Zoology and help them find opportunities in M.Sc. in the respective disciplines. It is 3 year, a six semester program whose curriculum includes courses in biological sciences and engineering together with relevant laboratory programs, and a research project leading to a dissertation. The university has recognized the significant role being played by biotechnologists in industrial development and has sought to implement an integrated approach towards education as well as research and development of various bioprocesses. The students are specifically groomed for R&D industry

The Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Biotechnology is an interdisciplinary undergraduate program that integrates biological sciences with modern technologies to develop innovative solutions in healthcare, agriculture, environmental management, food processing, and industrial biotechnology, etc. The program combines fundamental concepts of biology, chemistry, genetics, microbiology, molecular biology, bioinformatics, and bioprocess technology with practical laboratory training and research exposure.
