The chemistry department fosters innovation with robust lab facilities and knowledgeable supervision by providing advanced research opportunities in a variety of fields, including organic, inorganic, analytical, corrosion, pharmaceutical and environmental chemistry. The program places a strong emphasis on autonomous research, multidisciplinary projects, and professional preparation in fields including materials science and pharmaceuticals. Admission is determined by university tests or national exams (NET/GATE), followed by interviews. Passing Pre-PhD course work is compulsory. Every candidate is required to publish a minimum of two papers in Scopus-indexed journals and present two papers at seminars or conferences prior to thesis submission.
