Objectives

  • Skill Development with Purpose-To teach programming fundamentals (Python, JavaScript, web dev., data visualization) through the lens of problem-solving, develop competencies in human-cantered design, ethical tech, and impact measurement.
  • SDG Awareness & Tech Scoping-To analyze each SDG and identify "tech-touch points"—where software, data, or automation can amplify impact, understand the limitations of tech and the importance of interdisciplinary solutions.
  • Project-Based Impact-To conceive, design, and build functional projects (apps, websites, data tools, IoT prototypes) that address specific, localizable SDG targets, follow a design-thinking process: Empathize with a community need, Define the problem, Ideate, Prototype, and Test.
  • Community & Collaboration-To foster a collaborative environment where developers, designers, and domain experts (e.g., on environmental science, public health) can work together, partner with local NGOs, schools, or government bodies to work on real briefs.
