M.Pharm. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry is a postgraduate programme designed to develop competent pharmaceutical professionals with advanced knowledge and skills in the field of drug design, synthesis, analysis, and quality evaluation. The programme is structured in accordance with PCI norms, with a balanced emphasis on theoretical concepts, practical training, and research orientation.
The course enables students to acquire in-depth understanding of medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical analysis, drug metabolism, impurity profiling, and regulatory requirements related to pharmaceutical substances. Emphasis is laid on structure–activity relationships, modern instrumental techniques, and validation methods essential for drug development , quantity and quality control.
Through laboratory-based training, seminars, and project work, students develop the ability to critically evaluate new chemical entities and pharmaceutical products. The programme aims to prepare graduates for professional roles in the pharmaceutical industry, research and development organizations, academic institutions, and regulatory bodies, while promoting ethical practices and lifelong learning in pharmaceutical sciences
M.Pharm. (Pharmaceutical Chemistry)
