The department of Zoology aims to provide a competent centre for academic excellence. Study of Zoology provides knowledge on various aspects of life viz. Animal diversity, Evolution, Genetics, Ecology, Immunology, Cytology, Molecular biology, Fisheries, Embryology, Entomology etc. We provides research opportunity in the field of Aquatic biodiversity, Entomology, Fisheries and Toxicology. The department seeks to expand the knowledge and skills of students through cutting edge research and technologically advanced training. We have a vision to be among the leading centres for Zoological teaching, learning and research, by using advanced resources and techniques.

 

Students qualified in Zoology i.e. Zoologists are required by various employers like: Research institutes, Environmental protection agencies, Science centers, Zoos or wild life parks, Museums, Schools, Colleges etc. They may join research in different fields of Zoology and pursue a career in teaching.
