The candidate needs to complete the following basic formalities:

First-year MBBS students enrolled at Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical and Health Sciences (SGRR University) are eligible to apply for the National Cadet Corps (NCC) program. Admission to the NCC program requires the successful completion of an entrance examination. Additionally, SGRR University offers opportunities for participation in both the NCC and the National Service Scheme (NSS) for first-year students pursuing regular education at our university.

The university offers NCC programs for both boys and girls through the 29 UK Bn NCC Battalion in Dehradun. There are 53 seats available for boys and 80 seats available for girls. The NCC is a three-year program that offers B and C certificates. Only first-year students enrolled in any stream of a minimum three-year degree program are eligible to join the NCC. Upon obtaining the C certificate, a cadet becomes eligible for special entry into the Indian Army through the SSB.
