Course Overview

B.Sc. Operation Theatre Technology is a four-year Undergraduate programme, designed to focus on the curriculum based on anaesthesia and operation theatre techniques. The students are trained in managing pre-operative, intra-operative, & post- operative care, OT management and infection control in operation theatre. They also trained to manage the surgical environment, assist in surgeries and ensure patient safety.

The Course curriculum is based on industry-oriented parameters, which provide academic knowledge, practical experience, clinical postings, & one year compulsory internship in different surgical units of the hospital.

  • Roles : Operation Theatre Technician, Surgical Technologist, Assistant to Surgeons/Anaesthetists.
  • Workplaces : Hospitals, Surgical Centres, Trauma Centres, Critical Care Units, CSSD (Central Sterile Supply Department).
