SGRRIM& HS, College of Nursing, Obstetrics & Gynecological Nursing Department conducted CPR Training Programme under the guidance of Prof G. Ramalakshmi, Dean College of Nursing and Prof. Dineshwori Paonam, H.O.D, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecological Nursing on 27/08/26 at 11:00 am. There were 33 students of SGRRU B.Sc 1st year Yogic Science Student, Pathribagh, Dehradun who were present during the Training session. The training session was introduced by Professor. Rebecca Priti Bahadur.
CPR is an emergency lifesaving procedure performed when a person is unresponsive and not breathing normally. It involves chest compressions and rescue breaths. The objectives are as follows:
Training session was started with pretest followed by lecture session engaged by Ms. Pratiksha Chauhan, Nursing Tutor in the form of lecture cum discussion about the CPR and its various aspects and made the trainee aware about the importance of Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation. Later on, Demonstration was given by Mr. Ankit, CPR Training Coordinator. Interactive session was conducted by Ms. Rosalind Beulah, Assistant Professor and Ms. Sameeksha, Nursing Tutor with students. Students were asked to do return demonstration on CPR on mannequin. Subsequently posttest was conducted.
Overall Pretest scores show 38% and overall Post-test score shows 86% signifies that the participants gained adequate knowledge from the CPR Training program after Administration of theory class & demonstration. Students were satisfied with their new learning.
