Brief profile and Achievements

Dr. Vinod Kumar Pant is an Assistant Professor in the Department of History, School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS), Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Dehradun. He has an experience of more than 2 years with expertise in Ancient Indian History, Institutional History, and Colonial Forestry. He holds a Ph.D. in History from HNB Garhwal University, Srinagar, Uttarakhand, where his research focused on the role of the Forest Research Institute (FRI), Dehradun, in shaping Indian forestry (1906–1947). A UGC NET/JRF qualified scholar, he has published in reputed journals, including studies on colonial forestry and ancient Indian environmental consciousness.
