Orientation program for newly admitted students at School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Shri Guru Ram Rai University. The Objectives of the program was overall development and to provide guidance to newly enrolled students taking admission in 2025-2026. A grand event of the 3-day initiation program from 19th August to 21st August 2025 was held in the University Auditorium.
The program was inaugurated by Prof. Divya Juyal, Dean, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences. She welcomes the students and stated the values, discipline, and education policy of the university among the new students.
On 19th Aug, 2025 Shri Madan Lal Joshi, Ex Registrar, Uttarakhand Pharmacy Council delivered a lecture on importance of Pharmacy education in India He motivated the students and encourage them to work with ethics and responsibilities in the field of Pharmacy.
On 20th august 2025 an ERP session was conducted by Dr. Yogesh Joshi, HOD, Pharm. D. & M. Pharm (Pharmacy Practice) to familiarize students about the usage of their profiles on ERP system.
On 21st august 2025 a recorded message was conveyed to the fresher from one of the esteemed alumnus of SPS Mr. Deshraj Singh (Asst. Drug Controller, CDSCO, Govt. of India). A guest Lecture was organized by SPS, the Guest speaker invited was Mr. Vinod Jaguri, alumnus, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences currently working as Drug Inspector in Dehradun region, he shared his experience with students and congratulated them for being a part of SGRR University. The Disciplinary Policy was then discussed by Chief Proctor Dr. G. Gnanarajan, followed by a session of Library rules and regulations by, Dr. Amita Saklani Sr. librarian SGRR University. Students have been introduced about the NSS Activities by Dr. Naveen Gaurav (NSS Coordinator). Mr. S.P. Joshi (Sport Officer) talked over, about the sports facilities provide by the University.
The new students were given a tour to Herbal Garden and Animal House, where they were introduced to practical knowledge and research possibilities. After this, Dr. Ajay Singh Bisht gave brief information about the policies of Pharmacy Council of India. Dr. Sudhakar Kaushik also spoke about the career prospects in pharmacy. Exam ordinance, given by PCI was also discussed by Dr. Neeraj Kumar, (Examination Incharge SPS). Documentary formalities were done by the concerned coordinators
All the programmes were well coordinated by Mrs. Shaffi Khurana, Dr. Jyoti Kalra and the student members of Sanjeevani Council. On this occasion, all the heads of departments and employees of the Pharmacy Department played crucial role in managing all the events.
