Dept. of Medical Microbiology & Medical Lab Technology marked Antimicrobial Awareness Week 2025 with an engaging series of activities aimed at promoting responsible antimicrobial use and raising awareness about the growing threat of antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

Organized by the School of Paramedical and Allied Health Sciences, the event featured student Poster Presentations, Scientific Rangoli Competitions, Quiz Competition, Video Presentations, Awareness Rally and interactive sessions focusing on the “One Health” approach strengthened their understanding of antimicrobial stewardship. A skit was presented by young students highlighted the importance of rational antibiotic usage, improved hygiene, early diagnosis, and public education in preventing AMR.

The week concluded with a beautiful cultural programme & certificate distribution to honour the recognition of student contributions. The initiative successfully enhanced awareness, encouraged responsible healthcare behaviour, and showcased SGRRU’s dedication to public health and academic excellence.
