Solo Singing Competition Organised under Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam 2026

On 25th August, as part of Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam 2026, the School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS), Shri Guru Ram Rai University, organised a Solo Singing Competition on the theme “Celebrate Freedom, Create Patriotic Melodies.” Students from various schools of the university enthusiastically participated in the competition and filled the atmosphere with patriotic spirit. Through their melodious voices, rhythm, and expressive performances, the participants beautifully conveyed their love and pride for the nation.

Addressing the event, Prof. (Dr.) Preeti Tiwary, Dean, SHSS, appreciated the performances of the students. She stated that along with academic activities, promoting cultural and creative activities is essential for the holistic development of students. She praised the efforts of all the participants and remarked that such competitions not only enhance students’ confidence but also provide them with a meaningful platform to showcase their talents. She further highlighted that such activities strengthen the feelings of national pride, respect, and dedication among students.

The competition was judged by Prof. Tusti Maithani, Retired Professor, MKP College, Dehradun, who evaluated the performances and appreciated the talent, enthusiasm, and dedication of the participants. The competition results were as follows:

The competition was organised with the objective of providing students with a platform to showcase their creative and artistic abilities while fostering a strong sense of patriotism and national responsibility. Through this initiative, Shri Guru Ram Rai University sought to sensitise students towards Indian culture, the freedom struggle, and their responsibilities towards the nation.

The programme was coordinated by Dr. Priya Pandey, Dr. Lata Sati and Dr. Parul Agarwal, while Yanisha compered the event. Faculty members of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, along with hundreds of students from various other schools of the university, attended and participated enthusiastically in the programme.
