SGRRU’s Meritorious Student Hansika Saxena Honored by Shri Guru Ram Rai University

• Honourable President of Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj, honored Hansika with a cheque of ₹25,000.
• The felicitation ceremony was held on Friday at Shri Darbar Sahib.

Hansika Saxena, a meritorious student of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Shri Guru Ram Rai University, brought glory to the university as well as to the daughters of Uttarakhand by delivering an outstanding performance in a speech competition.

On August 5, 2025, at the prestigious Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi—one of the largest and most reputed auditoriums of India—Hansika showcased her exceptional talent in the All India Youth Speech Competition.

On her remarkable achievement, Hon’ble President Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes. During the felicitation ceremony held on Friday at Shri Darbar Sahib, Hansika was honored with a cheque of ₹25,000 (twenty-five thousand rupees).

It is worth noting that more than 150 participants had registered for the competition, but only 20 speakers were selected after two rigorous rounds, including script writing. Representing Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, Hansika secured a place among the top 20 and impressed the distinguished audience and dignitaries with her powerful speech on the grand stage of Bharat Mandapam.

The faculty, students, and staff of SGRR University expressed immense joy at Hansika’s achievement and wished her a bright future.

On this occasion, several eminent personalities including Minister of Art, Culture & Languages Mr. Kapil Mishra, BJP National General Secretary Mr. Tarun Chugh, Former Rajya Sabha Member Lieutenant General Devendra Pal Vats, Mr. Ravindra Singh Bhatti, and Mr. Manoj Tiwari were present. Hansika was felicitated and widely applauded for bringing laurels to Uttarakhand.
