SGRRU Faculty and Students Make University Proud at 7th Language, Society and Culture International Conference in Thailand

Dr. Surendra Kaur Rawal received the prestigious “Best Paper Presentation Award”

Dehradun: Shri Guru Ram Rai University (SGRRU), Dehradun, has once again brought pride to the university through the remarkable academic achievement of Dr. Surendra Kaur Rawal, Assistant Professor, Department of Social Science, School of Humanities and Social Sciences along with her students, Sabiha Yusuf and Vaibhav Kumar Singh, who participated in the 7th Language, Society, and Culture International Conference, held in Thailand on 28 August 2026.

Dr. Surendra Kaur Rawal, along with the two students, attended the international conference in onsite mode, representing Shri Guru Ram Rai University on an international academic platform. Their participation provided an important opportunity to interact with scholars, researchers, academicians and students from different parts of the world and to share academic perspectives on contemporary issues in the field of language, society, culture and social sciences.

Adding another significant achievement to the university's academic accomplishments, Dr. Surendra Kaur Rawal and her student participants received the prestigious “Best Paper Presentation Award” at the conference with Title "Water Quality Characters and Suitability of Ground Water in Doiwala Block in Dehradun District: A Statistical Analysis". The award is recognition of their academic contribution, quality of research, and effective presentation at an international forum.

The achievement was warmly appreciated by the Dean, SHSS, Prof. (Dr.) Preeti Tiwary, who congratulated Dr. Surendra Kaur Rawal and the students for bringing recognition to SGRRU at the international level. She appreciated their efforts and encouraged faculty members and students to actively participate in international academic conferences, seminars, and research activities.
