School of Basic & Applied Sciences Organizes Educational & Spiritual Tour to Nainital and ARIES

Educational-cum-Devotional Tour to Nainital, ARIES and Nearby Spiritual Sites (30th April–2nd May 2026)

With the blessings of the Hon’ble President, SGRR University, Mahant Devendra Dass Ji Maharaj, the Department of Physics, School of Basic and Applied Sciences, has organized an educational-cum-devotional tour to Nainital and nearby spiritual destinations from 30th April to 2nd May 2026 in which around 28 UG and PG students participated.

The educational component includes a visit to ARIES (Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences), Nainital, where students have gained valuable exposure and experimental understanding to observational astrophysics. The visit effectively bridged theoretical concepts with real-world scientific research and provided students with insights into advanced astronomical observations and instrumentation.

In addition to the academic visit, the tour also included devotional visits to Kainchi Dham, Chitai Golu Devta Temple, and Jageshwar Dham, with the objective of fostering spiritual awareness and enhancing cultural understanding among the students.

The tour was supervised by Dr. Pankaj Chamoli, Dr. Archana Dhayani, and Ms. Twinkle, faculty members from the Department of Physics, who ensured proper academic guidance, discipline, and safety throughout the journey. This initiative has expected to significantly enrich students’ academic learning, research orientation, and cultural values, while strengthening experiential learning beyond the classroom.
