Shri Guru Ram Rai University, School of Allied & Health Care Sciences, organized an Orientation Week for the newly admitted students from 17th -22th August 2026. The programme was designed to provide students with a warm and engaging introduction to the University, academic departments, faculty members, student support services, campus facilities, academic regulations and student activities.
The orientation programme combined academic orientation with interactive, cultural, recreational and awareness-based activities. Faculty members, the Student Council and senior students actively participated in welcoming and engaging the freshers throughout the programme.
The first day of the Orientation Week commenced with the formal reception of newly admitted students at the School of Allied & Health Care Sciences campus.
Major Activities included Reception of Students, Welcome and Energetic Performance by Senior Students followed by presentation on Vision, Academic Regulations, Student Support and University Services, Interaction with Dean, HODs and Faculty Members, Faculty/Senior Fun Introduction, “Find Your Tribe” Activity, Group Dance and Singing Performance, Group Photography, Document Verification followed by dispersal of Students:
The second day focused on student interaction, confidence building, entertainment and informal engagement.
Major Activities were Student Arrival and Daily Attendance, Future Letters, Surprise Welcome Video by seniors, Fresher’s Open Mic, Musical Chair & Dispersal with Group Photography.
University-Level Orientation - “Deeksharambh 2026”: The fourth day was dedicated to the University Orientation Programme –“Deeksharambh 2026.” Students participated in the University-level orientation programme beginning from 10:00 AM onwards.
Major Focus were University-level induction and orientation, Introduction to the institutional environment, Student engagement and interaction, Familiarization with University-level academic and student support systems
The fourth day focused on student talent, digital awareness and completion of essential documentation.
Major Activities were Student Arrival and Daily Attendance, Solo Dance and Singing Performances, Awareness Talk on Cyber Safety, Document Verification, Dispersal with Group Photography.
The fifth day focused on creativity, patriotic expression, documentation and academic/clinical orientation.

The final day of the Orientation Week focused on student safety, anti-ragging and anti-drug awareness, interaction between seniors and freshers, and familiarization with important campus facilities.
Major Activities
1. Student Arrival and Daily Attendance, Anti-Ragging and Anti-Drug Awareness: The session included:
a) Short Films and Documentaries - Students were shown short films and documentaries focusing on anti-ragging and anti-drug awareness. The activity was aimed at sensitizing students regarding responsible behaviour, student safety and the importance of maintaining a healthy academic environment.
b) Skit Performance Challenge - Senior vs Fresher’s: A friendly skit performance challenge was organized between senior students and freshers. The activity promoted interaction, teamwork, creativity and a positive relationship between senior and junior students.
3. Visit to Important Campus Facilities: Students visited key facilities of the University, including: Computer Lab, Central Library, Central Laboratory, SMIH, Radiology Department. The visits enabled students to become familiar with the facilities and resources available for their academic and practical learning.
The Orientation Week 2026 at the School of Allied & Health Care was a comprehensive induction programme that successfully combined academic orientation, student interaction, cultural activities, talent development, awareness sessions and campus familiarization.
The Orientation Week 2026 provided a meaningful and engaging beginning to the academic journey of the newly admitted students at the School of Allied & Health Care Sciences. The well-balanced combination of academic information, interactive activities, cultural performances, awareness programmes and campus visits helped students transition smoothly into the University environment.
The active involvement of faculty members, the Student Council and senior students contributed significantly to the successful conduct of the programme. Overall, the Orientation Week established a welcoming, inclusive, disciplined and student-friendly environment and laid a strong foundation for the students' academic and personal development at Shri Guru Ram Rai University.
