The School of Allied Health Care Sciences (SAHCS), SGRRU, celebrated International Microorganism Day on 17th September 2026 to promote awareness about the significance of microorganisms in healthcare, research, and the environment.
The programme was formally inaugurated by Dean Dr. Keerti Singh, along with faculty members Dr. Neha Chauhan, Ms. Nisha Dhyani, Dr. Papiya Sinha, Ms. Sheetal, Ms. Sandhya & Dr. Sharda Sharma who encouraged students to develop scientific curiosity, creativity, and a deeper understanding of microbiology and its applications in allied health sciences. The highlights of the celebration included Scientific Rangoli, Poster Presentation, and Quiz Competition, providing students with opportunities to demonstrate their scientific knowledge, creativity, and teamwork.
Students actively participated in all the events, and those securing positions were felicitated with certificates and medals. The celebration successfully encouraged scientific curiosity, creativity, and active student engagement in microbiology.
Overall, International Microorganism Day 2026 at SAHCS, SGRRU, was an enriching and engaging celebration that encouraged students to learn, explore, and appreciate the fascinating world of microorganisms.
