The School of Allied & Health Care Sciences celebrated Anti-Ragging Week 2026.

The School of Allied & Health Care Sciences, Shri Guru Ram Rai University, organized Anti-Ragging Week from 12th-18th August 2026 with the objective of creating awareness among students about the harmful effects of ragging and promoting a safe, respectful, and inclusive academic environment. A series of awareness and creative activities were conducted throughout the week to sensitize students towards the prevention of ragging and to reinforce the University's commitment to a ragging-free campus.

The week commenced on 12 August 2026 (Anti-Ragging Day) with the screening of short films and documentaries on anti-ragging, aimed at sensitizing students regarding the consequences of ragging and the importance of maintaining a supportive campus environment.

On 13 August 2026, a Slogan Writing Competition was organized at the school level. Students actively participated and expressed their views on prevention of ragging through meaningful and creative slogans based on anti-ragging.

On 14 August 2026, an Essay Writing Competition was conducted at the school level. The activity provided students with an opportunity to articulate their understanding of ragging, its adverse consequences, and the need for a safe and harmonious educational environment. Anti-Ragging Posters were displayed on the same day. The slogans and essays prepared by students were also displayed as part of the awareness initiative, thereby extending the message of anti-ragging to the wider university community.

The celebration concluded with an Awareness Relay by NSS students at the University level on 18 August 2026, further strengthening the campaign against ragging and encouraging students to collectively uphold a culture of dignity, mutual respect, and responsible behaviour.

Overall, the Anti-Ragging Week served as an effective platform for student sensitization, awareness generation, and promotion of a positive campus culture. The participation of students in creative and awareness-based activities helped reinforce the message that ragging is unacceptable and that every student has a role in maintaining a safe, friendly, respectful, and ragging-free university environment.
