Republic Day Celebrated with Great Enthusiasm at SGRRU and Other SGRR Institutions

A grand celebration of patriotism, national pride, and faith in the Indian Constitution was witnessed across all institutions of the SGRR Group, including Shri Guru Ram Rai University (SGRRU). The National Flag was hoisted with full honor, pride, and dignity at Darbar Shri Guru Ram Rai Ji Maharaj, SGRR University, and other educational institutions of the SGRR Group.

At the Shri Darbar Sahib premises, Sajjada Gaddinashin Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj hoisted the Tricolour at 9:00 am and extended Republic Day greetings to the people of the country and the state. In his message, he called upon everyone to uphold national unity, integrity, and Indian values.

At the Shri Guru Ram Rai University campus, Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) K. Pratapan hoisted the National Flag and took the salute of a disciplined parade. The well-coordinated parade by NCC cadets, NSS contingents, and students from 11 constituent schools captivated the audience and reflected the youth’s commitment to the nation.

In his address, Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) K. Pratapan said that Republic Day is not merely a celebration, but a day to understand the spirit of the Constitution and reaffirm one’s commitment to performing duties in the national interest. He appreciated the faculty members and students who have contributed to the university’s progress and urged them to play an active role in building a self-reliant India.

On this occasion, NCC Senior Under Officer Aakriti Rawat, Under Officer Nidhi Sograwal, Under Officer Aditya Patwal, and Sergeant Priyanka were honored with mementos for their outstanding contributions.

During the programme, Registrar Dr. Lokesh Gambhir administered a pledge to realize the dreams of the Constitution’s framers and to contribute positively to nation-building. He emphasized that educational institutions are the foundation of the nation, where responsible, cultured, and patriotic citizens are nurtured.

The Republic Day celebrations were marked by patriotic songs, cultural performances, and a disciplined atmosphere, with the spirit of nationalism at its peak. Deans, faculty members, officers, and a large number of students were present at the event.
