Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Pathribagh Campus, celebrated the 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The entire campus was adorned with tricolour flags, flowers, and decorations, creating an atmosphere filled with national pride.
The celebration began with the unfurling of the National Flag by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof.Kumud Saklani, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. In her address, Maam reminded everyone of the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and urged the students and faculty to uphold the values of unity, discipline, and responsibility towards the nation.
Students from different schools of the university presented patriotic songs, dances, skits, and poems that highlighted the spirit of freedom and India’s journey of progress. Their vibrant performances filled the audience with emotions of pride and love for the motherland.
The Dean of Student Welfare, faculty members, and staff also participated in the program with great zeal. Prizes were distributed to the winners of essay writing, painting, and slogan-writing competitions held earlier as part of the Independence Week celebrations.
The program concluded with the vote of thanks and the echo of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram”, leaving behind a strong message of unity and dedication to the nation.
The celebration at Pathribagh Campus was truly a reminder of the rich legacy of our freedom struggle and a pledge to contribute towards building a stronger and prosperous India.
