The School of Paramedical and Allied Health Sciences at Shri Guru Ram Rai University organized the regional conference DRICON-2025 (Diagnostic Radiology and Imaging Conference) on a grand scale. More than 400 students enthusiastically participated in this one-day conference with academic zeal. The objective of the conference was to bring experts, teachers, clinicians, researchers, and students on a single platform to discuss the latest advancements, challenges, and innovations in the field of Radiological Sciences and Diagnostic Technology.
The program was inaugurated by the Acting Vice Chancellor of Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Prof. Dr. Prathappan K. Pillai, with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Kirti Singh, Dean, School of Paramedical and Allied Health Sciences. During the program, Dr. Ashish Raturi, Dr. Pankaj Chamoli, and Mr. Anant Ram Uniyal shared their insights through lectures on Radiological Science, applications of Nanotechnology, and ongoing innovations in diagnostic procedures. Experts encouraged students to integrate research, innovation, and patient-centered care.
A poster and model competition was also organized during the conference. In the poster competition, the team of Rajat Dabral, Sahil Chauhan, Aditya, and Tarun Mainwal secured the first position, while in the model competition, the team of Ravindra, Balpreet, Naina, Chhavi, Sujata, Ashrajoya, Ravina, and Nashra emerged as winners. Students showcased excellent performances through their research work and creative diagnostic models.
A drama presentation based on International Radiology Day effectively highlighted the crucial role of Radiology in disease diagnosis and patient management. Cultural performances added a festive and vibrant atmosphere to the event.
During the award distribution ceremony, participants who performed exceptionally well were felicitated. In his inspiring address, Acting Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Prathappan K. Pillai emphasized the importance of skill development, evidence-based education, and research-oriented clinical practice in modern healthcare services. The program concluded with a vote of thanks, group photography, and the national anthem.
The vote of thanks was presented by Divya Chauhan, Head of the Department, Radio & Imaging Technology, School of Paramedical and Allied Health Sciences. On this occasion, several dignitaries including Dr. Malavika Kandpal, Dr. Rajeev Azad, Dr. Rajendra Srivastava, Dr. Neha Chauhan, Dr. Sharda Sharma, Dr. Neeraj, Dr. Papiya Sinha, Nivedita, Shilpa, Anuradha, Dr. Akanksha Suman, and Nisha Dhyani were present.
