Dehradun, October 11, 2025 — Demonstrating a strong commitment to community service and public health, students from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences conducted a health awareness camp in Sindhwal village, Dehradun. The camp, held on October 11th, was organized by Pharm.D 5th year and Pharm.D Post Baccalaureate (PB) 2nd year students.
The primary focus of the camp was to raise awareness about general health issues, with a special emphasis on menstrual hygiene and post-menopausal symptoms among women. This initiative aimed to educate and empower women in the village with essential knowledge regarding their health and well-being.
The event was successfully coordinated by Mrs. Shaffi Khurana Tangri, Dr. Jyoti Kalra, and Mr. Dheeraj. Around 35 students actively participated in the camp, engaging with the local residents and distributing essential medicine kits and sanitary napkins.
Dean of the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dr. Divya Juyal, and Head of Department, Dr. Yogesh Joshi, congratulated the students and the coordinating team for their commendable efforts. They appreciated the initiative as a valuable step towards strengthening community health and building socially responsible professionals.
