One-Day Seminar on “IPR-Based Innovative Ideas for Start-Ups

The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Dehradun, organized a One-Day Seminar on “IPR-Based Innovative Ideas for Start-Ups” on 11th October 2025, sponsored by UCOST (Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology), under the aegis of the Innovation and Incubation Centre.

The invited guest speaker, Prof. (Dr.) Satyendra K. Rajput, Professor of Pharmacology, Gurukul Kangri (Deemed to be University), Haridwar, delivered an enlightening talk emphasizing the pivotal role of Intellectual Property Rights in fostering innovation, research translation, and entrepreneurship among budding scientists.

The event was graced by Dr. Divya Juyal, Dean, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Dr. Dwarika Prasad Maithani, Director, Innovation and Incubation Centre, who highlighted the significance of research-driven innovation for sustainable national development. The inaugural ceremony commenced with lamp lighting and sapling presentation, symbolizing knowledge, growth, and a greener future.

The seminar was efficiently coordinated by Dr. Nidhi Gairola, Associate Professor, along with the organizing team — Ms. Shipra Omar, Ms. Nidhi Semwal, with technical support from Mr Mohd. Abbas Ali

The event concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks and enthusiastic participation from faculty members, research scholars, and students, marking a successful and enriching academic experience.
