NEP at SGRRU: Education to Viksit Bharat

Education Conclave Held on the Theme "NEP: Education to Viksit Bharat" Dehradun: Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Dehradun, successfully organized the All India Education Conclave (ABSS 2026). The theme of the conclave was "NEP: Education to Viksit Bharat." A total of 45 research scholars and more than 60 students from the university enthusiastically participated in the event. The primary objective of the conclave was to create awareness among students about the objectives and benefits of the Government of India’s New Education Policy (NEP), as well as the role of youth in building a developed India.

Speaking at the programme held on Saturday, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) K. Prathapan said that the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 is a strong foundation for building a developed India. He said that education is not merely a means of acquiring knowledge but also a powerful tool for developing skills, innovation, research and an entrepreneurial spirit among the youth. He added that today's youth can make a significant contribution to building a self-reliant India by utilizing their knowledge and talent. By advancing education, research and innovation with the vision of NEP, the dream of a developed India can be transformed into reality.

During the programme, Director of the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC), Prof. Dr. Dwarika Prasad Naithani, provided students with valuable information about startups and entrepreneurship and motivated them to develop an innovation-oriented mindset. Meanwhile, the university’s research scholars showcased their respective research work through posters. The scholars shared information about their research topics, achievements and future possibilities.

On the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) K. Pratap, Prof. Pankaj Chamoli, and the University's NEP Coordinator and Co-Coordinator congratulated and extended their best wishes to all the students and research scholars for the successful organization of the programme.
