National Science Day on 28th February 2026

With the blessings of honourable President Shri Devendra Dass Ji Maharaj, School of Basic & Applied sciences organised a enlightening program on the occasion of National Science Day on 28th February 2026 in which students participated enthusiastically, gaining knowledge and understanding thoughtful messages given by so many people. The theme for this program was " Women in Science: Catalysing Viksit Bharat" and indeed women in India today are increasing the rate of development in science in all areas shining the wisdom and sharing their prospect in everything. The programme commenced with the opening remarks of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Prathap K. Pillai. The gathering was warmly welcomed by Dr. Pankaj Chamoli, Dean SBAS, who extended his best wishes to the beloved students and the teaching fraternity on the occasion of Science Day. To add sparkle to the show we had our prestigious Eminent resource person Prof. (Dr.) Rajeev Gupta, Head department of Physics, UPES (World’s Top 2% Scientists, as declared by Stanford University) who enlightened every person who came with a heart to learn interesting things about science. It was all along a great time where students also gave speeches, filling the room with science facts and development that it has brought and also let's not forget the posters that portrayed amazing beauty and wonders of science.
