In response to the campaign initiative promoted through the MY Bharat Portal under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Dehradun actively participated in the nationwide effort to create awareness among young people regarding the harmful effects of substance abuse.

The campaign encouraged youth to take a pledge towards building a healthy, responsible and Nasha Mukt Bharat. The University disseminated the campaign message through various institutional and digital platforms and encouraged students, faculty members and staff to participate actively.

The major themes of the campaign were:

  • To create awareness among students and youth about the harmful effects of drugs and substance abuse.
  • To encourage young people to adopt a healthy and responsible lifestyle.
  • To sensitise students about the physical, psychological, social and academic consequences of substance abuse.
  • To promote the message of a Drug-Free India.
  • To encourage students to become ambassadors of awareness and positive social change.
  • To strengthen the University's commitment towards youth empowerment and social responsibility.

 Activities Conducted by the University

Shri Guru Ram Rai University conducted the Nasha Mukti Pledge Campaign through multiple platforms to ensure wider participation and outreach.

A. Nasha Mukti Pledge

Students, faculty members and staff members were encouraged to take the Nasha Mukti Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to staying away from intoxicating substances and encouraging others to do the same.

The pledge activity was conducted through both physical and digital modes so that members of the University community could participate conveniently.

B. Campus-Level Awareness

Awareness regarding the campaign was disseminated among students through University departments and campus-level communication. Students were encouraged to understand the adverse consequences of substance abuse and to contribute towards creating a healthy and drug-free environment.

Resultof the Campaign

The use of multiple platforms helped extend the campaign beyond the physical campus and encouraged wider digital participation.The initiative also strengthened the University's role in promoting social responsibility, youth empowerment, health awareness and community engagement.

Conclusion
