Shri Guru Ram Rai University (SGRRU), Dehradun, through its National Service Scheme (NSS), organized a Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, Health and Nutrition Awareness Programme, Free Medical Check-up, and Blood Donation Camp to promote a healthy, responsible, and drug-free society.During the programme, Prof. (Dr.) Arun Kumar delivered an awareness lecture on the harmful effects of drug and substance abuse and encouraged students to adopt a healthy and disciplined lifestyle. Dr. Shivani Khosla and her medical team from Shri Mahant Indresh Hospital, Dehradun, conducted a session on health, nutrition, and preventive healthcare, along with free medical check-ups for participants. As part of the social welfare initiative, NSS volunteers actively participated in a blood donation drive and donated 42 units of blood for the benefit of society. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Naveen Gaurav, NSS Senior Programme Officer, SGRRU; Mr. Anand Singh Pimoli, NSS Programme Officer, SGRRU; and Mr. Dinesh Raturi, PRO, Shri Mahant Indresh Hospital, Dehradun. The initiative successfully promoted the NSS motto “Not Me But You” by encouraging youth participation in social service, healthcare awareness, and humanitarian activities.
