Dehradun. 28th August 2023. The juniors of Shri Guru Ram Rai College of Nursing bid hearty farewell to the seniors. On Monday, the rhythm of music on high voltage sound dominated the students till late in the evening which made them sing, dance and enjoy. The heart catching presentations of the students made the day extremely special & beautiful. The seniors turned emotional as they were going to leave their beloved institution as well as junior friends but had the happiness of bright future standing in front of them.

On Monday, at the auditorium of Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences, the programme was started by Principal, College of Nursing, Dr. G. Ramalakshmi. While addressing the gathering of the students and faculty members, Principal Dr. G. Ramalakshmi that the day of farewell is always memorable and emotional for the students as well as for the faculties. She said that the vision of every faculty is to make students high performers in the studies as well as develop their personalities to prove good citizens in the society. She said that the objective of every faculty is ‘Sikcharth Aaeye , Sewarth Jaeye’ (Come for Education, Go out to serve). She wished all the best to all the seniors for their bright future.

After that, students Shivani Bhagat sang Ganesh Vandana in her melodious voice and made the environment spiritual. Students Sukriti and Nisha Rana did beautiful dance on the bollywood song ‘Dhere Dhere se meri Zindagi Mein Aana’. Nursing faculties Sojan and Ankit sang the song ‘Suno na Sangemarmar ke ye minaren’ on the musical instrument guitar. They said gave rocking presentataion on ‘shayaramna’ songs. Students of B.Sc. Third Year Priya Gupta and Mausam presented powerful dance on the Punjabi song ‘ Ishq Tera tarpawe’ and won the admiration of the audiences. Students Manisha and Stuti memorized their days at the college with on the melody of old songs. The addiction of music dominated the students till late in the evening and they danced on the melody of songs till late in the evening. 

The Crowns of Mr. Farewell and Ms. Farewell were decorated on the heads of Manjuli and Sonali of M.Sc. Nursing, Shubham and Shalini Gaur of Basic B.Sc. Nursing, Mukul and Pranjali of G.N.M. AND Shobha of A.N.M.

Significant role was played by Nursing faculty Julia Messi in making the programme a success. The programme was conducted by M.Sc. First Year’s Shreenk, Deepika, Alisha and Aakriti. The occasion was also marked by the auspicious presence of Rachel, Kirti Harjai, Ankit Dall, other nursing faculties and students.
