The Mental Health Club successfully organized its inaugural program with the objective of promoting mental health awareness, reducing stigma, and encouraging student participation in mental health initiatives.
The program was graced by Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. G. Ramalakshmi, Dean, College of Nursing, whose inspiring presence and encouraging words motivated the students to actively participate in activities related to mental health promotion.
The Guest of Honour, Dr. Kanchan Dobhal, SGRRIM & HS, conducted an engaging and interactive session with the students. The session provided valuable insights into mental well-being, stress management, and the importance of maintaining psychological health. Students enthusiastically participated by asking questions and sharing their experiences, making the session highly informative and interactive.
To spread awareness through creative expression, the Mental Health Club members presented a skit highlighting the importance of mental health, early identification of psychological problems, empathy, and community support. The performance was appreciated by the audience for delivering a meaningful message in an engaging manner.
The event also included motivational speeches delivered by Mr. Tenzin and Ms. Anjali, who emphasized the significance of mental health awareness, emotional resilience, and the role of youth in creating a supportive and stigma-free environment.
The successful organization of the event was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the Club Coordinator, Mr. Shashank Manwal, and Co-Coordinator, Ms. Deepali Rawat. Their leadership, planning, and coordination ensured the smooth execution of the program.
The M.Sc. Nursing students, along with all the Mental Health Club members, worked collaboratively in planning, organizing, and conducting the event. Their teamwork, enthusiasm, and commitment contributed significantly to the overall success of the program.
