Health Awareness Week

School of Paramedical Sciences has organized a Five Day Health Awareness Week from 4th June – 8th June 2022. Events organized were as: Day 1: Blood Donation Camp & Exhibition on Best out of waste on 4th June 2022, Day 2: Cleanliness and Plantation, Drive Day 3: Eye Check Up camp, Day4: Guest Lecture on Safety Consideration of Contrast media and use of Iso-osmolar Contrast and Day 5: Workshop on Self Defense Techniques for Girls and Guest Lecture on Prevention of Sexual harassment at Workplace and Heavy menstrual Bleed as a part of Five Day Programme in “Health Awareness Week” in the College Campus. The Blood donation Camp was organized in collaboration with the Blood Bank Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital. Total of 200 Students participated with high enthusiasm in the event. 100+ Blood unit has been donated by the School of Paramedical Sciences to the Blood Bank SMIH for the purpose of saving lives of needy people. In the Exhibition based on the theme “Best out of waste” students participation was appreciated. On the occasion of World Environment Day cleanliness and plantation drive was organized in the campus. Students made their campus clean and green. Teachers motivated and encouraged students. Another event in the Health Awareness Week was Eye checkup camp organized in collaboration with the Ophthalmology department of SMI hospital to provide free healthcare advise to the students regarding eye health. A Guest lecture was organized with the GE Healthcare on the topic “Safety Consideration of Contrast media and use of Iso-osmolar Contrast” on Fourth Day of the Health awareness week. Resource Person were Mr. Abhishek Anand and Mr.Mayank Karnwal from GE healthcare delivered a impactful lecture to our students, followed by the Workshop on Self Defense Techniques for Girls and Guest Lecture on Prevention of Sexual harassment at Workplace and Heavy menstrual Bleed delivered by Ms. Sumita Thussoo (Social worker) and Dr. Vibha (Pathology Department, SGRRIMHS, Dehradun). A significant number of our students attended the lecture.
