The School of Allied & HealthCare Sciences (SAHCS), Shri Guru Ram Rai University (SGRRU), Dehradun, organized a vibrant and glamorous Freshers’ Party on 24th October 2026 to warmly welcome the newly admitted students into the university family. Based on the exciting theme Bollywood Glam, the event aimed to provide a welcoming platform for freshers to interact with their seniors, showcase their talents, build friendships, and begin their university journey with confidence and positivity.
The celebration was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Keerti Singh, Dean, SAHCS, along with other faculty members, through the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by Saraswati Vandana. The programme featured a variety of engaging activities, including an exciting ramp walk, a talent show round, fun games, and entertaining cultural performances. Each activity added a unique charm to the celebration, ensuring enthusiastic participation and enjoyment.
The Bollywood Glam ramp walk was one of the major highlights of the event. Dressed in stylish outfits inspired by Bollywood fashion, the students confidently walked the ramp, showcasing their personalities, elegance, and individual style.
The talent show round provided a platform for students to demonstrate their creativity and diverse abilities. Participants enthusiastically showcased their talents, adding energy and originality to the celebration. The performances highlighted their confidence, stage presence, and willingness to explore new opportunities beyond academics.
Fun games and interactive activities further enhanced the excitement, encouraging teamwork, friendly competition, and bonding among students. Music, dance, and other cultural performances complemented the Bollywood-inspired theme, transforming the celebration into a lively and memorable experience.
The celebration concluded on a joyful note, leaving students and faculty members with wonderful memories. The event successfully welcomed the freshers into the SAHCS family while promoting friendship, confidence, creativity, and a strong sense of belonging.
