SGRRU Sports Festival: Paras and Prachi Emerge Victorious in 200 Meters
On the fifth day of Shri Guru Ram Rai University’s Sports Festival 2025, the ground witnessed a spectacular showcase of athletic talent. The players’ enthusiasm and the roaring cheers of the spectators filled the entire stadium with excitement. Every athlete pushed their limits, sending out the message — “Every step leads to victory.” In the 200-meter race, Paras Rawat in the boys’ category and Prachi from the School of Humanities in the girls’ category touched the finishing line first, winning everyone’s hearts. Their victory proved that “Success belongs to those who never give up.” In the 400-meter race, Mahendra claimed the top position in the boys’ category, while Khushi Chauhan delivered an impressive performance to secure first place in the girls’ category. In the 800-meter race, Naveen from the School of Yogic Science and Naturopathy and Suhani from the School of Nursing showcased great speed and endurance, earning admiration from all. The thrilling 100-meter hurdle race saw Aryan Negi and Prachi once again dominate the track, proving that “Winners never look back; they just run toward their goal.” In the cricket final, the School of Yogic Science and Naturopathy team put up an outstanding performance to defeat the School of Pharmacy and claim the title. The Kho-Kho (Girls’ Category) final was equally thrilling — the School of Nursing team edged past the School of Humanities in the final moments to lift the trophy. Meanwhile, in Kabaddi (Boys’ Category), the School of Pharmacy displayed remarkable sportsmanship to beat the School of Engineering and Technology and secure the winner’s trophy. Every moment of the Sports Festival reminded everyone that “In the field, it’s not victory or defeat that matters — true victory lies in confidence.” The young athletes of SGRRU once again proved that discipline, hard work, and determination are the real keys to success.
