The farewell ceremony organized by the School of Humanities and Social Sciences of Shri Guru Ram Rai University on 18 April 2026 concluded in a grand and emotional atmosphere. The event was organized to bid a respectful farewell to the final-year undergraduate students.
On this occasion, the President of the University, Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj, conveyed his blessings and best wishes to all the students.
The program commenced with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony. The event was systematically conducted by the Student Council. Dean of Student Welfare, Prof. Malavika Sati Kandpal, advised the students to always remain focused on their goals and never give up even in difficult situations. She said that the education, discipline, and values gained from the institution would always guide them in life. She encouraged the students to bring positive change to society through their knowledge and values and to make the institution proud wherever they go.
On this occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Geeta Rawat extended her best wishes for the bright future of the students and said that continuous effort, positive thinking, and dedication are essential for achieving success in life. She added that challenges are an integral part of life, but those who face them with patience and confidence attains real success.
Thereafter, a series of cultural performances began in which students showcased their talents through dance, group songs, solo singing, and other entertaining presentations. Creativity, energy, and enthusiasm were clearly reflected in the performances. The entire program witnessed a wonderful blend of laughter, joy, and emotional moments, making the ceremony even more memorable.
The main attraction of the ceremony was the “Title Ceremony,” in which students were honored with various titles based on their personality, talent, behaviour, and achievements. The title of Miss Farewell was awarded to Yanisha Rawat of BA Psychology Final Year, while Mr. Farewell was won by Uday Rohilla of BA Music Final Year.
In the final phase of the program, senior students shared their experiences. They became emotional while recalling their golden memories, teachers’ guidance, and valuable learnings at the institution. They also motivated their juniors to move forward with hard work and dedication.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Ashish Kulshreshtha, Head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication. The event was coordinated by Dr. Priya Pandey, Coordinator of the Cultural Committee of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. On this occasion, all faculty members and hundreds of students enthusiastically participated in the program.
