SGRR College of Education organized the Environmental Awareness and Outreach Programme on “Harmony with Nature: Connecting People and Plants for Sustainable Development” on 23 September 2026 at SGRR Laxman Inter College, Pathribagh. The programme was attended by 66 participants and aligned with SDG 13 - Climate Action. It aimed to create environmental awareness, promote harmony with nature, highlight the importance of plants and trees, and encourage students to adopt eco-friendly and sustainable practices.

Key Highlights:

  • Importance of plants and trees in maintaining ecological balance.
  • Awareness about climate change, environmental protection, and conservation.
  • Promotion of sustainable and eco-friendly lifestyles.
  • Encouragement of individual responsibility and community participation.
  • A joint plantation activity was conducted by school children and B.Ed. students. - Students were encouraged to follow the principle “Plant, Protect and Preserve.”
  • The programme strengthened the connection between the College of Education and the local school community.

Outcome

The programme successfully increased students’ environmental awareness and encouraged them to adopt simple, responsible habits for a greener, healthier, and sustainable future.
