To commemorate the occasion of English Language Day i.e. on 23rd April of every year on the birth date of William Shakespeare, the most memorable English dramatist, Dept. of English, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Dehradun conducted a cultural program on 26 April 2023 in collaboration with Shri Guru Ram Rai PG College in the Seminar Hall of SGRR PG College. All the faculties gave a beginning to the program lighting the lamp in front of Goddess Saraswati.
Through the play Othello by William Shakespeare, the students, under the supervision of Dr Jyoti Pandey, HOD, English Department SGRR PG College, Tanushree Bhardwaj, Coordinator of English Language Lab, SGRR PG College and Dr Parul Aggarwal, Assistant Professor, English Department SGRR University, presented a realistic performance which was applauded by all.All the faculties of various departments were present there to motivate the students.
