Endometriosis Awareness Program Held at SGRR University

An Endometriosis Awareness Program was successfully organized by the Department of Hospital Administration, School of Management and Commerce Studies (SMCS) on 10th March 2026 under the aegis of IQAC at Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Dehradun. The program aimed to create awareness among students and the community about endometriosis, a significant yet often under-recognized women’s health condition.

The session featured an informative talk by Dr. Aakriti Gupta, who highlighted the causes, symptoms, early diagnosis, and management of endometriosis. She emphasized the importance of timely medical consultation and spreading awareness to reduce stigma and delay in diagnosis associated with the condition.

As part of the awareness initiative, a Walkathon was organized within the campus where students actively participated by carrying creative posters and placards conveying messages on women’s health and early detection of endometriosis. The enthusiastic participation of students reflected their commitment to promoting public health awareness.

The event was conducted under the guidance and support of Dr. Soniya Gambhir, Dean, SMCS, whose encouragement played a key role in the successful organization of the program. The Department of Hospital Administration reaffirmed its commitment to organizing such public awareness initiatives in the future to educate society on important health issues and promote preventive healthcare practices
