The School of Agricultural Sciences successfully organized a Farmer Training Programme in Laxmipur and Khushhalpur villages under the Extension and Outreach Activity Plan - 2026, contributing towards SDG-2: Zero Hunger.

Around 50 farmers actively participated in the programme. The initiative was conducted by Dr. Moinuddin, Dr. Khilendra Singh, Dr. V.K. Singh, Dr. Ateeq, and Dr. Tauja, along with students.

 The programme focused on:

  • Sustainable farming practices
  • Soil health management
  • Crop diversification and good agricultural practices
  • Climate-resilient agriculture
  • Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
  • Integrated Nutrient Management (INM)

Through expert lectures, field demonstrations, and interactive sessions, farmers gained practical knowledge of eco-friendly and cost-effective farming techniques. Seeds of High yielding varieties, manures and biofertilizers were also distributed among the participants.

Farmers showed keen interest in adopting organic farming, improving soil fertility, and implementing water conservation methods to enhance productivity and sustainability.

This initiative reflects our commitment to strengthening rural livelihoods and promoting sustainable agriculture for a food-secure future.
