Profile & Achievements 

Dr. Rekha Dhyani has a remarkable academic track record making her a valuable human resource asset for any higher education institute for teaching activities. She has completed her Doctorate (Ph.D.) 2018 from Birla Campus Srinagar, Garhwal Central University, Uttarakhand. Before that she had already cleared Uttarakhand State Eligibility Test (USET) – (July 2012), University Grant Commission (UGC) – NET, (2013) & National Eligibility Test (UGC – NET) - (March 2013). She has completed her M.Sc. (Mathematics), B.Sc. (PCM), B.Ed. & M. Ed. From HNB Garhwal University Srinagar, Uttarakhand, and 12th and 10th from UP Board with throughout first division.

At the same time her talent to accommodate in any challenging situation by fearlessly combating such challenges makes her a precious administrative trouble-shooter too. As she has tremendous quality to accommodate her set of skills for addressing challenges.

She is a collaborative professional with five years’ experience in teaching to B.Ed., M.Ed. and integrated B.Ed. students. Currently Working as Assistant Professor, Education at School of Education, Sri Guru Ram Rai University (SGRRU), Dehradun, Uttarakhand since 20 April 2021. Worked as Assistant Professor of Mathematics and Education for the students of Integrated B.Ed. – B.Sc. Course at Pestal Weed Collage of Information Technology & B.Ed. College, Dehradun, Uttarakhand for one year and seven months. Taken B. Ed. Classes regularly in Birla Campus Srinagar during the Ph. D. course.

Had a nice record of research work & Publication. Worked on Pedagogy subject during research work. During the period of research work (02-03 years) taught B.Ed. Students as regular basis. Her Doctorate (Ph.D.) topic was - “The Effect of Metacognitive Strategies on Achievement in Mathematics Of Elementary Students”. It was based on Metacognition which is simply referred to ‘thinking about thinking’. Research Objectives were - to Study metacognitive awareness and to develop & study the effect of KWL & Graphic organizer metacognitive strategy model of elementary school Student for metacognitive awareness of elementary school students taught through KWL & Graphic organizer metacognitive strategies. The Methodology adopted was pre-test post-test quasi experimental design for four experimental and control group of students. Tools developed by me. Descriptive statistics like ‘Mean’ and ‘Standard Deviation’, ‘T–test’, ‘ANOVA’ used. Research Suggests for aggressive use of Metacognitive strategies in teaching. And early age introduction of ‘Metacognitive Strategies’. In order to generate problem solving skills, critical thinking, and divergent thinking skills.
