Brief profile:

Prof (Dr.) Priyanka Bankoti is presently serving as Dean, School of Agricultural Sciences, Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Dehradun, and Uttarakhand. She is recipient of Young Scientist Award, best teacher award by Shiwalik Rotary club, Young Scientist Award in International Conference on Food & Agriculture, Young Women Scientist Award for outstanding contribution in crop production.

She is Nodal Officer of SGRRU in ICAR-Accreditation. Dr. Bankoti has more than 18 years of working experience in teaching, research and extension.She did her M.Sc. (Ag.) in 2004 and earned her Ph.D. Agronomy in 2007 from G. B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar, Uttarakhand. She worked under ICAR funded All India Coordinated Research Project on Agroforestry focused on dissemination of appropriate agroforestry models for the benefit of small and marginal farmers and emphasized the need for integrating livelihood options in the agroforestry models. Her area of specialization includes integrated farming system, natural farming, precision farming, organic farming, cropping system, nutrient management, and agroforestry. She was recipient of University scholarship during post-graduation and Ph.D., also qualified ICAR-NET for twice. Dr.Bankoti started her professional career in 2007 after earning her Ph.D. degree. Dr Bankoti has 4 years of administrative experience as Head Department of Agronomy, School of Agricultural Sciences, SGRRU, Dehradun respectively. She participates in crop planning for farmers and is a member of several committees within the Uttarakhand Government's agriculture department. She has created curricula and study guides for students while serving on the board of studies committees at with UGC approved Universities. She has published more than 55 research papers, also indexed in Elsevier Scopus, Web of Science, as well as NAAS rated scientific journals of International and National reputes. She has published 06 patents, 03 books, more than 30 book chapters/articles. In recognition of her services to the scientific journal, the author was selected as Chief Editor, editorial board member, review board member and reviewer of several National and International journals. She is member of Board of Studies in various Universities.

She has supervised and mentored more than 50 postgraduate students and under her guidance 8 Ph.D. scholars are enrolled and One Doctoral degree has been awarded successfully. Dr Priyanka has organized various workshops,seminars,conference, awareness programmes ,trainings, Kisan Mela, outreach programmes and other extension activities for community and farmers welfare in various districts of Uttarakhand.
