Brief profile and Achievements:
Dr. Papiya Sinha, is an Assistant professor, at the Department of Medical Lab Technology, School of Paramedical Sciences, SGRRU. She completed her Doctorate in Microbiology from Assam Central University, Silchar, Assam. Her doctoral research primarily investigated Biofilm formation and the Antibiotic Resistance patterns of coagulase-positive Staphylococcus strains isolated from various sources. She has more than 4 years of work experience in various national level research laboratories. She has track records working with Defence Research Laboratory (DRDO), Tezpur and in Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) NE Region, India. Her track record of research is quite eclectic as she has contributed to various disciplines, spanning from medicinal plants research, veterinary biology, medical and environmental microbiology to biocontrol. She also has published her research work in peer reviewed journals and presented papers in scientific conferences.
