Brief Profile

Dr Pankaj Chamoli is an Associate Professor in Department of Physics of Sri Guru Ram Rai University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. He received his Ph.D. in Materials Science from IIT Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. He obtained a M. Tech. in Materials & Metallurgical Engineering from Thapar University, Patiala, Punjab, and holds graduate and post-graduate (Physics) degrees from H.N.B. Garhwal University, Srinagar, Uttarakhand. Dr Chamoli has eight years plus experience in teaching (Physics/Material Science) to UG (B.Tech./B.Sc.) and PG (M.Sc./Ph.D.) levels. Additionally, he is an active researcher, and enthusiastically participates in cutting-edge research and innovations. He is working on different areas of nano-science and technology, particularly focusing on nano-structured materials, carbon nano-materials (Graphene), nano-composites, nano-colloids, soft materials and their utilization for EMI shielding, microwave absorption, water purification, photocatalytic/adsorption activity, energy storage/conversion devices, and various nano-biotech applications. Dr Chamoli has filed/granted 8+ national and international patents. He has published 6+ book chapters, 37+ research papers (SCI/Scopus, average impact factor~7) in international journals of repute, and presented 20+ papers at National/International conferences. He is currently supervising more than Six Ph.D. theses on addressing societal challenges through nanotechnology-based solutions and has successfully guided over 30+ PG theses in related fields. Dr Chamoli is an active reviewer for various high impact journals of Elsevier & Springer.
