Brief profile and Achievements:

Dr. Neha Chauhan is currently an Associate Professor and Head of Department Microbiology at SGRRU's School of Paramedical Sciences. She has obtained Master's and Doctorate in Microbiology from HNB Garhwal Central University in Srinagar, where her doctoral research focused on the screening the antimicrobial potency of medicinal plants against respiratory affliction-causing bacteria, emphasizing natural alternatives to combat drug-resistant pathogens. She has 15.11 years of academic experience with UG, PG, and Research students. Her specialization is medical microbiology. Her research is primarily concerned with the prevalence and occurrence of multidrug resistant pathogens, as well as their treatment with herbal/polyherbal formulations. She is supervising six research scholars in the specialized area of microbiology and 2 candidates have been awarded Ph.D degree under her supervision. She has a strong research background, having given number of oral and poster presentations at national and international conferences. She has published over 53 research papers that have been indexed in Scopus and Web of Science journals, has published number of 03books and 07 chapters. She is actively engaged in NAAC. She has worked as Co-convener and organizing secretary in National webinars organized at Shri Guru Ram Rai University. She is a registered life member of Microbiologists Society, India.
