Brief Profile

Dr. Manjusha Tyagi is a Professor and Head of the Department of Microbiology at Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. Her academic interests encompass both teaching and research in the fields of Microbiology, Biochemistry, and Biotechnology. With over 20 years of teaching experience, she has made significant contributions to higher education and scientific inquiry.

Dr. Tyagi has published more than 55 research papers in reputed national and international journals and has authored 15 book chapters in the domain of Microbiology. She has successfully guided over 50 M.Sc. Microbiology students in their project and dissertation work and is currently supervising seven research scholars. Notably, one of her scholars has been awarded a Ph.D. degree under her supervision.

She serves on the editorial board of Biotechnology International (BTI) and holds two patents in the field of Microbiology. Her excellence in academia and research has been recognized through 10 prestigious awards. In addition to her academic responsibilities, Dr. Tyagi is the In-charge of the institutional project titled “Biofertilizer Production” at Shri Guru Ram Rai University.
