Brief profile and Achievements:

Dr. Balbir Kaur was born and brought up in army milieu which taught her to be disciplined and independent person craving for new opportunities. She started her professional career quite early as a Demonstrator in Post Graduate Diploma Course in Dress designing and Tailoring at Hindu Kanya College, Kapurthala, Punjab, Affiliated to Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Punjab, where she worked for 4 years. Thereafter she joined IEC SAF, Dehradun (School of Art and Fashion) as a Faculty in Fashion Designing for 7 years. Total 11 years of experience as a Fashion Designer.

She started her career as an Educationist by joining Tanishk College of Education, Dehradun in 2005 as a lecturer in Education (B.Ed.). Ever since she worked in different colleges of Education and joined Department of Education, SGRR (PG) College, Dehradun (Under Self-Finance Scheme), in 2014.

She has: 17 years of experience of teaching B. Ed. classes, 8 years’ experience of teaching M.Ed. classes, 5 years’ experience of teaching Ph.D. classes, 2 Ph.D. Degree awarded to two (2) scholars, One (1) Ph.D. Thesis submitted for evaluation, Presently supervising four (4) Ph.D. Scholars, Published 18 papers in International/National/UGC Care listed Journals, Published 6 Chapters in different books.
