Department of Pharmacology

Department of Pharmacology is the backbone of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The course provides an in-depth knowledge about screening of drugs, drug action at molecular level, adverse effects, dosage etc. Experiments on laboratory animals help understanding the nuances better. A state of the art Animal House cum breeding centre supports the needs of the Department (registered with CCSEA).

Department of Pharmacology constituted by well equipped laboratories with basic and essential instruments useful for the routine practical and research work. This includes organ bath assembly, tail flick analgesiometer, hot plate analgesiometer, rotarod apparatus, elevated plus maze, actophotometer etc.

Department of Pharmacology has published 40 review and research papers in reputed national and international journals. The staff, research scholars and postgraduate students have also attended national and international conferences and made paper/poster presentations of their research work
