OVERVIEW

Growing interdisciplinary studies worldwide is a consequence of fast computing devices and easy access to knowledge and information through internet. Information technology has emerged as a new field in this era.

The Department of Computer Applications under the School of Engineering & Technology SGRR University has been established to prepare competent IT professionals with relevant education, education, skills and training. The department provides a flexible academic program to study the emerging disciplines of IT sector. It offers undergraduate program in Computer Applications and Information Technology and postgraduate program in Computer Applications. The students acquire knowledge of computer and programming. Logic oriented environment in IT and knowledge of advanced IT applications in different business sectors is provided. The department has Software Development Cell (SDC), responsible for development of software for Live Projects, solely managed by students. It prepares students for a computer-oriented career to keep up with the rapid advancement of technology.
