Dandiya Night Celebrated with Grandeur and Enthusiasm at Shri Guru Ram Rai University

The Dandiya Night was organized with grandeur and enthusiasm at Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Pathribagh Campus, Dehradun on 28th September 2025 under the aegis of the Dean Student Welfare (DSW) Office. The event aimed at promoting cultural harmony, student engagement, and festive spirit among the university fraternity.

The celebration commenced at 5:30 PM with the traditional lighting of the lamp, graced by the presence of the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, respected Deans of various Schools, faculty members, and students. The aura of festivity was enhanced with vibrant decorations and colorful traditional attire worn by the students.

The heart of the celebration was the Dandiya Raas and Garba, where students showcased their energy, rhythm, and coordination to the beats of traditional and contemporary music. The lively performances created an atmosphere of joy, excitement, and togetherness. Various rounds of group performances and free dance sessions encouraged maximum participation, making the evening highly interactive and engaging.

To ensure smooth conduct of the event, special arrangements were made. The Discipline Committee efficiently managed the flow of students and maintained order throughout the evening. First aid and ambulance facilities were also kept on standby to ensure safety. Additionally, refreshments and snacks were arranged for all participants, adding to the festive delight.

The event also provided a platform for students to display their talent in cultural performances, such as traditional songs and dance, further enriching the celebration. The infectious enthusiasm of the participants, combined with the cheerful audience, made the programme a memorable experience for everyone present.

The Organizing Committee deserves special appreciation for meticulously planning and executing the event. Their efforts ensured that each detail—from decorations to discipline—was taken care of systematically.
