The College of Nursing, SGRRIM & HS organized a Breastfeeding Quiz Competition and Awareness Rally to promote awareness regarding the importance of breastfeeding and its significant role in ensuring the health and well-being of mothers and infants.
The program commenced with a Breastfeeding Quiz Competition in which nursing students actively participated and demonstrated their knowledge regarding breastfeeding , maternal nutrition, infant health, and the prevention of common breastfeeding-related problems.
The quiz was designed to make the learning process interactive and informative. Students enthusiastically participated in the various rounds and gained valuable knowledge related to the importance of breastfeeding and the role of healthcare professionals in supporting mothers.
Following the quiz, a Breastfeeding Awareness Rally was organized in collaboration with Rural Health Training Centre (RHTC), Mothrowala, Dehradun. The rally was conducted to spread awareness among the general public regarding the importance of breastfeeding and its benefits for maternal and child health. The rally served as an effective platform for creating community awareness and encouraging families to adopt appropriate breastfeeding practices.

The activity provided students with an opportunity to strengthen their knowledge as well as develop their skills in health education, communication, teamwork, and community participation.
The program successfully highlighted the importance of breastfeeding and encouraged nursing students to become effective health educators and advocates for maternal and child health in the community.
