The Blood Donation Camp was organized with the aim of spreading awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation, saving lives, and promoting a spirit of humanity and service among students.
The camp was organized by SGRRU, College of Nursing, in collaboration with Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, Youth Red Cross Society, Student Council SGRRU, and NSS Unit SGRRU.
The camp was conducted with the following objectives:
The Blood Donation Camp commenced by the faculty members of the College of Nursing, followed by a pledge taken by all participants to contribute towards saving lives through voluntary blood donation.
A total of 20 members registered for the camp, and a collection of 13 units of blood was successfully made, Students and faculty members eagerly came forward as donors.
A medical team from Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital conducted thorough health check-ups to ensure donor safety, and under professional supervision, voluntary donors participated enthusiastically.
The programme inspired many first-time donors to make blood donation a regular practice. It also encouraged students to embrace the value of service to humanity and strengthened the spirit of teamwork, unity, and social responsibility.
Blood donation is a noble act that plays a vital role in saving lives and promoting health in society. Awareness about voluntary blood donation ensures the availability of blood in emergencies and encourages individuals to develop a sense of responsibility towards the community.
Such social initiatives in colleges not only motivate students to participate in humanitarian efforts but also nurture values of care, compassion, and unity.
